NNCCF is partnering with Allied Washoe Petroleum and Cumulus Media in hosting our first annual Elevating Life community campaign from Dec. 1, 2011 to Feb. 24, 2012.  The grand finale for this community event will take place 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Feb. 24. The event will feature numerous special events and grassroot fundraisers to be conducted through media partners and corporate supporters, assisting our families in the fight. Local schools will start penny drives, firefighters will pass the boot, college students will hold dance marathons, corporate sponsors will sell paper kites, restaurants will designate proceeds from sales and heroes throughout the community will begin the efforts to reach our first year’s $100,000 goal by Feb. 24.

NNCCF began establishing relationships with these entities in mid-November. The radio broadcast will provide the finishing touches of four months of hard work.  During the broadcast on KBUL, KNEW and KWYL radio personalities will conduct personal interviews, share heartwarming stories and encourage listeners to make donations through NNCCF volunteer pledge lines, online contributions or by pledging via texting. There will be giveaways and an online auction also will take place during this broadcast. Totals from community members for these community efforts leading up to the finale, plus monies generated during the broadcast, will be announced during live interviews.

Our goal is to raise awareness and congratulate the members of the community who have dedicated their resources to children fighting cancer and the difficulties our families face.

You will receive regular donation receipts for tax purposes.
