Awareness
In honor of September National Childhood Cancer Month, families, caregivers, medical professionals and community organizations gather for a day in the park to come together and share stories of courage, strength and hope. The annual event hosts a pancake breakfast, a resource tent shared by local charities that offer support services, a Beads of Courage Workshop, crafts, bounce houses, games and entertainment. The event is free and open to the public.

The 2010 event will be held on Saturday, September 11th from 9:00 a.m. until noon at Pickett Park in Reno (across from Renown Regional Medical Center).
Throughout the year, we continue to raise awareness and educate our communities by distributing gold ribbon pins with facts about childhood cancer (more than 10,000 distributed to date).
