Adopt-A-Family
Having a child with cancer is hard enough, but having to worry about the stress of the Holidays is often too much for a family. NNCCF coordinates an Adopt-A-Family Program where sponsors throughout the community (businesses, schools, families and friends) provide gifts and meals for local families who otherwise may have done without. Gifts are purchase from a wish-list created by each family and are delivered to each patient’s homes or hospital rooms in the weeks leading up to Christmas. The program gives relief to parents knowing that there will be gifts under the tree during their difficult time.
