Thank you for your support, Reno! Thanks to you and your friendly, efficient work, we have shaved 1,085 heads and garnered a total of $768,000 for research funding. Congratulations to you all for your part in this fundraiser that truly will save the lives of many of our children!
Each year, life-saving pediatric cancer treatment saves 85 percent of our kids. The Children’s Oncology Group (COG) of hospitals, founded 50 years ago, has taken survivorship from 20 to 85 percent. Our newest challenge is to develop less harsh treatment that does not damage these kids’ bodies as they are developing. In 2010, St. Baldrick’s raised $14 million in its worldwide fundraising and these dollars go directly to the COG hospitals to save lives and develop less damaging treatment.
