Get ready for a spooky afternoon with a purpose!

The men of Sigma Alpha Epsilon at the University of Nevada invite you to join them on October 16 from 3 PM to 7 PM for a Haunted House and Pumpkin Smash benefiting Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation.

For just a $5 donation, guests can brave the Haunted House, take a swing at the Pumpkin Smash, and help make a difference for local children and families impacted by childhood cancer.

Want to take your support one step further? You can also donate to your favorite sorority’s fundraising efforts on the event page. Every donation helps their sorority compete for SAE’s philanthropy competition!

Pulling For Our Little Heroes is an inspiring, multi-sport community event hosted by Calavera Barbell since 2013, bringing together team weightlifting and CrossFit to support the Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation. Held each September during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, every penny raised goes directly to families facing the challenges of pediatric cancer.

Now in its 14th year (2026), the event takes place across two weekends:

• Weightlifting Team Event

• CrossFit Team Event (MMFF)

Teams are formed in fun divisions—CrossFit teams of four (2 male/2 female), and weightlifting teams of two in coed or age-group categories. A fundraising minimum is required to advance, with bonus recognition for teams raising over $1,000.

How you can help:

In 2013, Natalia was diagnosed with cancer, and within a few short months, she lost her battle at the age of 11. That year her parents, Raul and Monica, the owners of El Adobe Cafe, hosted the first ever “Natalia’s Night” to honor Natalia while helping raise funds and awareness for childhood cancer warriors in northern Nevada. For the past 13 years, restaurant owners across northern Nevada have joined in support of Natalia’s parents by donating back to NNCCF on the last Wednesday of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
