Children’s Cancer Foundation Launches $250,000 Matching Gift Challenge
(Reno, NV) – Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation (NNCCF) is announcing its annual Know the Gold matching gift challenge. Now through January 31, friends and other supporters have the opportunity to double their donations by participating in this special fundraising campaign.
The Know the Gold campaign kicked off in September 2017 and has encouraged local businesses, schools, churches, organizations and individuals to raise funds for local children with cancer. The William N. Pennington Foundation is matching donations to this campaign dollar-for-dollar up to $250,000 through January. The Know the Gold Campaign supports northern Nevada children and their families with financial and emotional assistance during the child’s cancer journey.
“This match is the largest in the history of our Know the Gold Campaign,” said Lisa Shaffer, Director of Community Engagement. “We are grateful the Pennington Foundation has awarded us this opportunity, and for their continued support of the children and families we serve.”
Donations made to NNCCF before the end of January are eligible for matching, including contributions by mail, online and over the phone.
“We are incredibly thankful for our donors’ support,” said Shaffer. “Our community has an astounding amount of commitment to help these children and we are excited to see their contributions matched.”
